# Autonumber v2 Format Seed

## Summary

Seeds `_System_Field.auto_number_format` + `auto_number_scope` + `auto_number_start` for 129 Salesforce autonumber fields surveyed from `pingcap.my.salesforce.com` (v60.0, 2026-04-17), plus 3 NexusCRM-native compound fields (`Contract.Name`, `Quote.Name`, `Order.Name`), plus `_System_RecordType.RecordTypeCode` for 9 Contract RecordType DeveloperNames. This discharges the Lane C1 (Wave 1) seed contract for the Autonumber Engine v2 cutover (PRD §8.1).

All seeded fields are `scope=global` at cutover (user decision, Round-2 review). `counter_scope=per_day` is reserved for post-cutover admin toggles and is NOT exercised by any seeded format.

`auto_number_token_refs` and `auto_number_canonical_hash` are intentionally left NULL by this spec. Lane C2 (`SeedAutoNumberCounters`, Wave 2) uses the engine's canonicalizer to populate them.

**Inference notes**:

- `Account.Account_ID__c` — `displayFormat` authoritative from SF Metadata API (custom field).
- `pqcrush__Org_Chart_Field__c.pqcrush__Order__c` — `displayFormat` not exposed (managed package); format inferred from most-recent sample value.
- 127 SF standard fields — `displayFormat` not exposed by SF platform; format inferred from the most-recent observed value. Fields with no observed rows default to `{0}` (SF default for unconfigured autonumber).
- Fields where the surveyed samples show prefix drift across time (e.g. `Interface_Log__c.Name` changed from `2022-06-28-` to `2026-04-17-`) use the MOST-RECENT prefix as canonical. Running `cmd/setup verify` after cutover reports any format/live-data mismatch for post-hoc admin correction.

### 2. Seed 3 NexusCRM compound fields

Ports existing `CompoundAutoNumberListener` (`backend/internal/features/automation/compound_autonumber_listener.go`) + Unified Identifier Engine seeds (`platform_config.go:355-394`).

Cross-record token resolution:

- `{Account.BillingCountryCode}` on Quote — depth-2 fallback: `OpportunityId → Opportunity.AccountId → Account.BillingCountryCode`, then direct `AccountId → Account.BillingCountryCode`. DirectField fast-path: `Account_Country_Code__c` (formula). **This multi-chain cannot be derived from the format string alone**, so the seed generator writes the explicit `CrossRecordRef` JSON into `_System_Field.AutoNumberTokenRefs` at apply time (Round-5 Codex V2-Codex-H6 — see `tokenRefsOverrides` in `scripts/gen/autonumber_seeds.go`). The JSON is canonicalized via `autonumber.CanonicalizeTokenRefs` so re-apply is byte-idempotent.
- `{Account.BillingCountryCode}` on Contract and Order — depth-1: `AccountId → Account.BillingCountryCode`. The parser can derive this from the token; `AutoNumberTokenRefs` stays NULL and the engine uses the parser-derived default.
- `{RecordType.RecordTypeCode}` on Contract — implicit FK `RecordTypeId → _System_RecordType.RecordTypeCode` (new column from Section 3).

### 3. Seed 9 RecordType codes

Ports `contractTypeCodeForName` keyword map (`compound_autonumber_listener.go:267-296`) from substring-scan form into exact-match column form (Approach α per PRD §4.5).

Any Contract RecordType referenced by `{RecordType.RecordTypeCode}` but missing a code here causes `cmd/setup verify` V6 (PRD §5.3.3) to fail deploy.

### 4. Per-field scope-source map (Round-2 fixpack F8)

Each scope=global field declares its legacy counter source so Lane C2's `SeedAutoNumberCounters` can compute `GREATEST(live_max+1, legacy.CurrentNumber+1, field.AutoNumberStart)` with scope-aware semantics (PRD §8.2 step 3.d, §8.2 step 3.e).

**Scope-source groups:**

- **`_System_AutoNumber`** — 129 fields (all 129 surveyed Salesforce autonumber fields). Legacy row match: `(ObjectApiName, FieldApiName)`. Field with no legacy row → seed falls back to `live_max+1` ∨ `start`.
- **`_System_CompoundAutoNumber`** — 3 fields (Contract.Name, Quote.Name, Order.Name). Legacy row match: `ObjectApiName` (prefix-grouped `counter_state` rows; seed takes MAX across prefixes). Note: `Order.Name` has no `_System_CompoundAutoNumber` history (never ran through listener); falls back to `live_max+1` ∨ `start`.
- **`none`** — 0 fields at Wave 1. Reserved for future net-new admin-created autonumber fields.

**Idempotency**: `AND RecordTypeCode IS NULL` guard prevents overwriting admin-edited codes on re-run. `cmd/setup verify` V6 (PRD §5.3.3) catches any Contract RecordType referenced by the Contract compound format whose code is still NULL after this seed.

## Generator contract

This markdown is the SINGLE canonical source (PRD §8.1 C#5). `scripts/gen/autonumber_seeds.go` parses:

- Section 1 + Section 2 tables → `AutoNumberFormatSeeds []AutoNumberFormatSeed{ObjectName, FieldApiName, Format, Scope, Start, LegacySource}`
- Section 3 table → `RecordTypeCodeSeeds []RecordTypeCodeSeed{DeveloperName, Code}`
- Section 4 `LegacySource` column joins by `(ObjectName, FieldApiName)` onto Section 1+2 rows.

The generator emits `backend/internal/controlplane/packs/platform_config_autonumber_formats.go` with banner `// Code generated by scripts/gen/autonumber_seeds.go; DO NOT EDIT.`. The Makefile `verify-generated` target enforces drift detection (Round-2 fixpack F17).
