# Implementation Summary (PR #348)

## Changes Made

### 1) Move Playwright + add ts-node

- Moved `@playwright/test` from `dependencies` to `devDependencies`:
  - `package.json:36`
  - `package.json:69`
- Added `ts-node` to `devDependencies`:
  - `package.json:88`
- Updated lockfile to match the dependency moves/addition:
  - `package-lock.json:10`
  - `package-lock.json:41`
  - `package-lock.json:62`

### 2) Ignore E2E artifacts

- Added `.env.test` to root ignore list:
  - `.gitignore:29`
- Added `tests/e2e/.auth/` to root ignore list:
  - `.gitignore:80`

### 3) Fix Playwright config for ESM + correct testDir

- Added ESM-friendly imports and `__dirname` derivation:
  - `tests/e2e/playwright.config.ts:2`
  - `tests/e2e/playwright.config.ts:4`
  - `tests/e2e/playwright.config.ts:7`
- Fixed `globalSetup` path resolution for ESM:
  - `tests/e2e/playwright.config.ts:43`
- Fixed `testDir` to be relative to `tests/e2e/`:
  - `tests/e2e/playwright.config.ts:28`

### 4) Remove broken cleanup script call

- Replaced the Go-based cleanup invocation with a warning indicating cleanup is not implemented:
  - `tests/e2e/fixtures/data.fixture.ts:113`
  - `tests/e2e/fixtures/data.fixture.ts:116`

## CI Investigation Notes

- No GitHub Actions workflow in `.github/workflows/` currently runs the E2E suite (no `playwright`/`e2e` references found).
  - Primary workflow file inspected: `.github/workflows/ci.yml`

## Issues / Warnings

- `npm audit` reports `8` vulnerabilities (`4` moderate, `4` high). Not addressed in this change set.
- Running `npx playwright test --config=tests/e2e/playwright.config.ts --list` currently errors due to fixture merging in `tests/e2e/fixtures/index.ts:19` (`test.extend()` used with a test object).
