# Local Run

1. Start `tidb playground`

2. Start task manager local runner

    Refer to `pkg/ngm/performance_insight/task/main/README.md`
    
    > This local runner will create clinic tables in the local TiDB.

3. Setup port forward to the dev staging core-svc

    ```bash
    KUBECONFIG=~/.kube/dbaas-aws.kubeconfig.yaml kubectl port-forward svc/dbaas-core-svc-server-grpc 8888:8888 -n staging-ms --context arn:aws:eks:us-west-2:385595570414:cluster/staging-base-us-west-2
    ```

4. Start ngm api server with config and your local `AWS_PROFILE` value
   
    ```bash
    export AWS_PROFILE=auto-dev-rw
    -c=pkg/ngm/config/config_example.yaml
    ```
