# Deploy Your Own Knowledge Base Chatbot with DeepSeek on AWS Bedrock (working-in-progress)

## Overview

[AutoFlow](https://github.com/pingcap/autoflow) is a Graph RAG based and conversational knowledge base chat assistant built with TiDB vector store and LlamaIndex, open source and free to use.

+ In this lab, you will learn how to:
+ Import your own knowledge (Word/PDF/TXT/Markdown etc.) to a knowledge base.
+ Use the chatbot to search for information in the knowledge base.
+ Connect to and run queries on a TiDB Cloud Serverless cluster provisioned for you. This cluster serves as both the vector store and the graph database.
+ Deploy your own Knowledge Base Chatbot like [this](https://tidb.ai):

  ![70%](https://lab-static.pingcap.com/quick-demo/taa-example-does-tidb-support-fk.jpeg)

### Duration

+ This lab should take you approximately 1 hour to complete.

### Tasks

+ Deploy the knowledge base application with [pingcap/autoflow](https://github.com/pingcap/autoflow) repository.
+ Configure your knowledge base application.
+ Have a random chat with the AI chatbot to see if it can answer your questions using information from the knowledge base.

## Module 2: Configure The Azure OpenAI

+ In this module, we will introduce how to configure the Azure OpenAI Service, Embedding Model, and Large Language Model in the Azure OpenAI service.
+ For more details, please refer to:

  + [Azure OpenAI documentation](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/ai-services/openai/reference)
+ [Create and deploy an Azure OpenAI Service resource](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/ai-services/openai/how-to/create-resource?pivots=web-portal)

### Step 1. Create an Azure OpenAI Service

+ In the first step, we will create an Azure OpenAI Service. The first step is to login to the [Azure portal](https://portal.azure.com/#home). If it is your first time to login, you will see the following page.

> The following questions are based on a real customer of autoflow, but we refined it to remove the sensitive information and make it unrecognizable. Also for the material that needs to import, we made it by ourself, it is **NOT** the real material from the customer.

### Step 1. Determine the Scope of the Questions

This is a customer from fast food industry, they want to build a knowledge base for their staff to check the standard operating procedures (SOP), recipes, food storage guidelines, and other knowledge.

So there are some typical questions from the customer:

+ Can I ask customers to pay a tip?
+ How to make a Surf and Turf?
+ When should raw salmon fish be discarded?

### Step 2. Download the material

In order to answer these questions, we need to import the material into the knowledge base. This is a fake food industry material repository, you can download it from [the release page](https://github.com/Icemap/fake-food-industry-material/releases) of repository to your local machine.
