# Core Beliefs

## Documentation

- `AGENTS.md` should be a map, not a dump of every fact about the repo.
- Knowledge should follow stable repo seams such as architecture, product
specs, plans, generated artifacts, and references.
- The smallest document that explains one concern well is better than one large
document that tries to explain everything.

## Architecture

- Runtime paths matter more than abstract component lists.
- Cross-service workflows should name the concrete files that implement them.
- Generated or machine-derived content should live separately from editorial
docs so readers know what can be trusted as human judgment.

## Maintenance

- Docs should change with the code that made them stale.
- Repetition is a liability. Link to the source-of-truth document instead.
- If a doc no longer helps someone make a decision or operate the system, it
  should be rewritten or removed.
