# Offline environment state

`deployments/deployment-config.json` is the environment topology and identity
authority. This directory documents only host-local layout and sanitized
examples that cannot be derived cheaply from a workflow.

- `environment-map.md` summarizes the committed topology.
- `state-contract.md` defines runtime state placement.
- `examples/exp.env.md` records the non-secret EXP shape.

Test, CI, and Formal Staging `runtime.env` files are generated by their prepare
adapters from committed topology plus workflow inputs and secrets. Copyable
snapshots for those environments are intentionally not tracked.
