# Validate PingCAP Orders against Account-level governing Contracts

PingCAP's Order archive process deliberately validates the Account's governing Contract instead of requiring the Order to be linked to a Contract. The standard Salesforce-compatible model treats `Order.ContractId` as the activation authority, but PingCAP's business rule is that Cloud Orders are governed by a covering CSA and OP Orders by a covering MA on the Account; creation ignores Contract status, while activation requires an Effective governing Contract. This avoids adding Contract writeback solely to satisfy validation and keeps the validation aligned with the actual sales policy.
