Stamping 0 reproduces the source org's observable formula results without changing its data-entry contract (credit is rarely filled there either: 771 of 899 source quotes are blank). Before-save with a direct $Record assignment (the Std_OpportunityStageDerivedFields pattern) rather than after-save + recordUpdate: an after-save update inside the record.created chain is silently lost on this platform. Fires only when the field is null. Part of #3873. Retire this flow if the platform gains blank-as-zero formula semantics.",
