Data product contracts may include embedded executable tests, not only declarative promises or references to external tests. This keeps validation close to the product contract and supports workflows like dbt builds where tests execute alongside the underlying asset. V1 may define the embedded test shape before fully specifying execution behavior, but the design should avoid drifting into passive documentation-only contracts.
