# `Raft` Log Replication - Cont'd

The next step is called Append. The so-called Append is when the TiKV node accepts the Raft Log and persists it in its own RocksDB Raft instance, that is, stored locally.

However, since there are usually multiple copies of a Region (default 3 replica), we also need to replica this Raft Log on top of the other replica, which is the next Replicate.
