# Streaming Computation Scenarios

Stream computing scenarios have the following requirements:

1. Online business real-time updates, an additional data change capture component is needed to synchronize the updates to the analytical database.

2. Analytical databases require real-time capability, and they should be able to synchronize the changes of online business data.

3. Analytical databases should be able to provide SQL interfaces for analysis and queries.

According to the above requirements, TiDB, which can support highly concurrent updates and point query from the application, as well as synchronizing updates to the column store to support analysis and query, is a competitive choice.
