# Using Placement Rules in SQL: Step 3

+ Setting the **`PLACEMENT POLICY`** data object
+ In the following example, the Region Leader for Table "T4" will be located in Seattle only

```
~!@// Example:@!~
CREATE TABLE T4 (id INT) PLACEMENT POLICY=p1;
```

-------------------------------------------------------------
With tags and placement policy, we can specify the corresponding location when creating schema, table and partition. This way we achieve fine-grained data placement management.

Additionally, not only can we specify the data placement when creating with the CREATE statement, but we can also modify the placement of the data object with the ALTER statement. However, since this operation will cause data movement, it is not recommended to do it during peak business hours.

If you need more fined data placement control, you can use advanced placement options such as `CONSTRAINTS` and `FOLLOWER_CONSTRAINTS`. More information please refer to `https://docs.pingcap.com/tidb/stable/placement-rules-in-sql`.
