# Top Sql Usage - Step 1
+ Select the specific TiDB Server or TiKV instance for which you want to observe the load

Top SQL is very simple to use, as follows:

1. Visit the Top SQL page.

2. Select a specific TiDB or TiKV instance for which you want to observe the load.

In addition, you can adjust the time range in the time picker, or select a time range in the chart to see the problem more precisely and in detail. Smaller time frames will provide more detailed data, with a maximum accuracy of 1 second.

If the data displayed in the chart is out of date, you can click the Refresh button or select Auto Refresh from the Refresh drop-down list.
