# Table Options

__*SHARD_ROW_ID_BITS*__

+ You can add options to the **`CREATE TABLE`** statement, such as:
  + **`COMMENT`**: Annotation information	
  + **`DEFAULT CHARACTER SET`**: Specify the character set to use for this table
  + **`SHARD_ROW_ID_BITS`**: Number of bits used to set the number of shards for the implicit field **`_tidb_rowid`**

CREATE TABLE test.countrylanguage (
  CountryCode CHAR(3) NOT NULL,
  Language CHAR(30) NOT NULL,
  IsOfficial ENUM('T', 'F') NOT NULL DEFAULT 'F',
  Percentage FLOAT(3,1) NOT NULL,
  PRIMARY KEY(CountryCode, Language)
  ) ~!@COMMENT 'Lists Language Spoken' SHARD_ROW_ID_BITS = 4@!~;

COMMENT Comment information	
  - `COMMENT = 'comment info'` 

CHARACTER SET specifies the character set used by the table	
  - `CHARACTER SET = 'utf8mb4'` 

SHARD_ROW_ID_BITS The number of bits used to set the number of shards implicitly _tidb_rowid	
  - `SHARD_ROW_ID_BITS = 4`
