# Deallocate Phase
+ Prepared statement consumes memory. To free the space, you must deallocate the statement
+ The server automatically releases the prepared statement when you do the following:
    + Redefine another prepared statement with the same name
    + Disconnect from TiDB server
+ You can explicitly deallocate it with the following command:
  + `DEALLOCATE PREPARE` 
  + `DROP PREPARE`
