# Limitations of Prepared Statements
+ Unable to nest `prepared statements`
  + The statement to be prepared cannot contain `PREPARE`, `EXECUTE`, or `DEALLOCATE PREPARE`
+ You can prepare only single statements, not multiple statements
+ You cannot prepare certain types of statements, such as:
  + Diagnostic statements `SHOW ERRORS/SHOW WARNINGS`, etc.
+ You cannot prepare a statement that contains a dynamic cursor declaration
  + TiDB checks cursor syntax/statements when creating cursors `prepared statement`
