Independent third parties develop and distribute Connectors in many other languages. Many third-party client interfaces are available. Most are based on the C Client Library (libmysqlclient) and provide a binding for some other language. 

Including: Ada Cocoa, D, Eiffel, Erlang, Haskell Kaya, Lua, Objective Caml, Octave, Scheme SPL, and Tcl.
