# `pd-ctl` Basic Operations

+ View and modify scheduling parameters
  + **`config show`**: Display current schedule-related parameters
  + **`config set {key} {value}`**: Modify relevant parameters
  + **`store limit {store_id} {value}`**: Limit the scheduling speed of a single store
+ Add `Operator` manually
  + **`operator show [admin|leader|region]`**: Display the current global or a certain type of scheduled task
  + **`operator add`**: Manually add scheduled tasks, such as:
    + **`operator add add-peer {region_id} {store_id}`** 
    + **`operator add remove-peer {region_id} {store_id}`** 
    + **`operator add transfer-leader {region_id} {store_id}`**

- How to set a label
  - Label contains two parts of PD and TiKV settings. PD can be modified online by modifying replication.location-labels configuration, TiKV {store_id} {key} {value} can be modify online through store label, but the TiKV configuration needs to be modify at the same time The corresponding server.labels parameter in the file.
  - Note
    - TiKV configuration needs to be consistent with the PD configuration level. If the strictly-match-label parameter is enabled, an error will be reported when the two parts of the configuration are found to be inconsistent.
    - Enable-placement-rules is required to be enabled when deploying TiFlash. In this case, location-labels cannot be set through config set, max-replicas parameter, and need to be modify through placement rules
