# TiKV nodes are slow to go offline (A)

+ pd-ctl store {target_store_id} —> region_count & leader_count

TiKV nodes are slow to go offline

When we scale in the size of a TiKV node in the cluster, we can observe the node going offline in the following two ways. If the lower node can go offline normally, then we can observe that the region_count & leader_count of the target node is decreasing:
  - Grafana PD —> Statistics - balance —> Store leader count & Store Region count
  - pd-ctl store {target_store_id} —> region_count & leader_count
