# TiKV nodes are slow to go online (B)

The TiKV node is slow to go online

Contrary to TiKV nodes going offline, we see a very slow increase in the number of leaders and regions for newly added TiKV nodes:
  - Grafana PD —> Statistics - balance —> Store leader count & Store Region count
  - pd-ctl store {target_store_id} —> region_count & leader_count

Currently, PD does not have special processing for node onboarding. The launch of a node is actually scheduled by relying on the balance region mechanism, so you can refer to the troubleshooting steps for unbalanced region distribution in the previous section.
