The TiKV node periodically reports two heartbeat messages to the PD: Store Heartbeat and Region Heartbeat. The Store Heartbeat contains data such as basic store information, capacity, remaining space, reads and writes traffic, etc., and the Region Heartbeat contains data such as region range, replica distribution, replica status, data volume, and reads and writes traffic. The PD combs this information and dumps it for scheduling to make decisions.
