# Ddl Execution Process Overview

The execution flow of DDL statements can be described as:
  - TiDB Server receives a DDL statement request.
  - Convert the received DDL statement into a job and store it in the DDL job queue in TiKV.
  - TiDB Server read the DDL job queue in TikV and finds its own job.
  - TiDB Server executes change operations (create, delete, alter, etc.) in the job and persist the change status.
  - Remove the successfully executed job from the DDL queue and place it in the history queue (history queue).
