# Create Index 

+ The index creation syntax of TiDB is compatible with the index creation syntax of MySQL
+ Indexes can be created with the table

CREATE TABLE t1 (
id INT NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY AUTO_INCREMENT,
c1 INT NOT NULL,
c2 INT NOT NULL,
key idx_t1_c1 (c1)
);
```
+ TiDB does not block data reads and writes from tables when creating indexes
