- Target region ID can be located through the traffic visualization menu
  - pd-ctl region key {start_key}
- Split Region
  - pd-ctl operator add split-region {region_id} —policy=
- Transfter splits the new region to another store
  - Filter out the new region id after split via pd.log
  - transfter to a store with relatively low resource utilization 
    - operator add add-peer {new_region_id} {target_store_id}
    - operator add transfer-leader {new_region_id} {target_store_id}
    - operator add remove-peer {new_region_id} {original_store_id}
