# Split Read Hotspot (A)

+ Step 1: On the TiDB Dashboard Traffic Visualization page, observe the read traffic.
+ Judge how bright the traffic is
  + Record valid information
+ Step 2: TiDB Dashboard Slow Query Page & SQL Statement Analysis, confirm the problem time period for the SQL in the database:
  + Frequency of execution
+ Execution Plan: Number of rows of scanned data

------------------------------------------------------------

“Traffic Visualization”, “Slow Query”, and “SQL Statement Analysis” in the TiDB Dashboard are very effective diagnostic methods when encountering the problem of read hot spots. In general, use the following steps:
- Step 1: On the TiDB Dashboard Traffic Visualization page, observe the read traffic:
  - Determine if the traffic is bright, the brighter indicates the greater the read flow between the current Start Key and End Key ranges
  - Record valid information: the corresponding database object name, and the start key and end key of the type, region
- Step 2: TiDB Dashboard Slow Query Page & SQL Statement Analysis to confirm the problem time period for SQL in the database:
  - Frequency of execution
  - Execution plan: Number of rows of scanned data
