Requirements for HTAP

Based on the definition of HTAP and the problems it solves, we make the following requirements for a database of HTAP technology:
1. scalibility Because of the huge amount of data, distributed storage is a storage solution for OLAP services for some NOSQL databases. However, due to the need to support OLTP services at the same time, the requirements for real-time data writing and updating and distributed transactions have been raised.
2. Support for both OLTP and OLAP services. Because of the different characteristics of the two services, it is also necessary to support both row store and column store. However, OLTP requires high concurrency and guaranteed consistency, OLAP requires high-performance data scanning, and how to ensure that the two do not affect each other (business isolation) are also issues that need to be addressed.
3. We know that real-time data analysis is already a common requirement, so whether the row store storage that undertakes real-time data writing can synchronize data changes to column storage in real time is also a prerequisite for HTAP technology.

In summary, a system that conforms to the HTAP scenario must be able to meet the above 3 points in order to truly solve the convergence of OLTP and OLAP services.
