# The operations of TiDB data quick recovery

+ With DML：
  + tidb_snapshot
+ With DDL：
  + FLASHBACK TABLE
  + RECOVER TABLE
  + FLASHBACK DATABASE
  + FLASHBACK CLUSTER
+ Dumpling：
  + dumpling ... --snapshot "yyyy-mm-dd hh:mi:ss" ...

-----------------------------------------------------------------

TiDB data quick recovery can be performed through the following three operations:

1. Used with `DML` statements. For example, when executing a `SELECT` statement, set the `tidb_snapshot` parameter. This parameter can be set to a certain time point in history, so that the queried data is the data at this time point.

2. Used with `DDL` statements, users can use `FLASHBACK TABLE`, `RECOVER TABLE`, `FLASHBACK DATABASE` and `FLASHBACK CLUSTER` to recover the entire table, database and cluster to the specified time.

3. The `Dumpling` tool also has a `--snapshot` parameter, which can specify a time point and export the data at this time point.
Please note: All the data recovered by the data quick recovery function must not be cleaned by the TiDB GC function, that is, the recovered data must exist after the safe point, otherwise data quick recovery is not supported.
