# Check the DDL and backup status of the cluster

+ Cluster DDLs
  + Use **`ADMIN SHOW DDL`** to check whether there is any ongoing DDL jobs
  + If yes, wait until it finishes or use **`ADMIN CANCEL DDL`** to cancel ongoing DDLs
+ Cluster backup
  + Use **`SHOW [BACKUPS|RESTORES]`** to check whether there is any ongoing backup or restore tasks
  + If yes, wait until it finishes
