# Checking the Health Status of the Current Cluster

+ Pay attention to the `Region status` result from the following command:
  + **`tiup cluster check {cluster_name} --cluster`**
+ **_`All Regions are healthy`_** 
  + All Regions in the current cluster are healthy and you can proceed with the upgrade
+ **_`Regions are not fully healthy {count} miss-peer, {count} pending-peer`_** 
  + You need to troubleshoot existing anomalies first, before apply patches/updates to a TiDB Cluster.

To avoid the undefined behaviors or other issues during the upgrade, it is recommended to check the health status of Regions of the current cluster before the upgrade.
