# Example: Filtering the Exported Data

+ Use the **`--sql`** option, works only for `CSV` exports file type
  + **`--sql 'select * from `universe`.`planets` where id < 100'`**
+ Use the **`—-where`** option, works for both `CSV` and `SQL` exports file type
+ For example:
```
$ tiup dumpling \
  -u root \
  -P 4000 \
  -h 127.0.0.1 \
  -o /tmp/test \
  ~!@--where "id < 100"@!~
```
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By default, `Dumpling` exports all databases except system databases (including `mysql`, `sys`, `INFORMATION_SCHEMA`, `PERFORMANCE_SCHEMA`, `METRICS_SCHEMA`, and `INSPECTION_SCHEMA)`. You can use `--where {where_expression}` to select the records to be exported.
