# Exporting Data from `TiDB Cloud`

+ Dumpling to export data
-------------------------------------------------------------
Download and install `TiUP`:
```
curl --proto '=https' --tlsv1.2 -sSf https://tiup-mirrors.pingcap.com/install.sh | sh
```

Declare global environment variables:
```
source .bash_profile
```


Install `dumpling`
```
tiup install dumpling
```

Use `dumpling` in `TiDB` to export data.
```
tiup dumpling -h ${tidb-endpoint} -P 3306 -u ${user} -F 67108864 -t 4 -o /path/to/export/dir
```

The minimum privilege required are as follows:
```
SELECT
RELOAD
Lock TABLES
RECLIENT
```

Currently, `dumpling` only supports `Mydumper` format output, and can be easily recover to a `MySQL`-compatible database by using `TiDB Lightning`.
