# Deploying with TiUP Step 1 - Hardware and Software Environment Requirements and Precheck

Before installing, we must first confirm the hardware and software environment requirements. Please refer to "Hardware Requirements Before TiDB Deployment" and "Operating System Requirements Before TiDB Deployment".

Second, we need to do a precheck. The purpose of the precheck is to check the configuration of the operating system and the installation of TiDB's pre-software, which mainly includes:
1. Store parameter configurations.
2. Close SWAP.
3. Turn off the firewall settings.
4. Install the NTP service.
5. Operating system optimization parameters.
6. SSH mutual trust and sudo password-free configuration.
7. Numactl tool installation.
