# Creating a TiDB Cluster - Developer Tier

To create a Developer Tier, follow these steps:

    On the TiDB Cloud Cluster page, click "Create Cluster" and select Developer Tier.

    In the Create Cluster page, modify the default cluster name as needed.

    Note that the cloud provider for the developer tier is AWS, and select the region in which you want to create the cluster.

    View the developer tier cluster size, and then click Create.
        The cluster creation process starts, and the Security Quick Start dialog box is displayed.

    In the Security Quick Start dialog box, set the root password and the IP address that is allowed to connect to the cluster, and then click Apply.

The TiDB Cloud cluster will be created in about 5 to 15 minutes.
