# Connect Via VPC Peering

To connect to a TiDB cluster via VPC peering, follow these steps:

Navigate to the Active Clusters page and click the name of the newly created cluster.

Click Connect and select VPC peering in the Connect to TiDB dialog box.

Set up VPC peering. For more information, see: https://docs.pingcap.com/tidbcloud/set-up-vpc-peering-connections

Click Get Endpoint and wait a few minutes. The connect command is displayed in a dialog box.

Use a SQL client to connect to TiDB Cloud from a server that has a VPC peering connection set up.

mysql -u root -h <endpoint> -P <port number> -p
```
