# Rename a Cluster

__*TiDB Rename Clusters*__

+ After starting the cluster, we can rename the cluster with the following command:
  + `tiup cluster rename ${cluster-name} ${new-name}`

After deploying and starting a cluster, you can use the tiup cluster rename command to rename the cluster:

tiup cluster rename $ {cluster-name} $ {new-name}

Note:
  - Renaming a cluster restart monitoring (Prometheus and Grafana).

  - After renaming a cluster, Grafana may leave behind some panels with the old cluster name, and you need to manually delete these panels.
