-------------------------------------------------------------
This course describes upgrading from TiDB 5.1 to TiDB 6.1, and upgrading from 6.1 to later revisions. Direct upgrades to 6.1.0 and later revisions are not supported if the original cluster is 3.0 or 3.1 or earlier. You need to upgrade from an earlier version to 4.0, and then upgrade from 4.0 to 6.1.0 and later revisions.

The general process for upgrading is as follows:
1. Upgrade TiUP
Recommended tiup version no earlier than 1.10.0

2. Modifying the TiUP Cluster Topology Profile
If the cluster parameters are modified for the new version, you need to modify the configuration file.

3. Check the current cluster health
To avoid undefined behavior or other failures during the upgrade process, it is recommended to check the current region health of the cluster before upgrading, which can be done with the check subcommand.

4. Upgrading a cluster to a specified version
There are two ways to upgrade: non-disruptive upgrades and downtime upgrades. TiUP Cluster The default way to upgrade a TiDB cluster is to upgrade a TiDB cluster without downtime, that is, the cluster can still provide external services during the upgrade process.

5. Post-upgrade verification
Execute the display command to view the latest cluster version, TiDB Version.
