# Dumpling Export SQL File

__*Dumpling export SQL file*__

  + `dumpling -u root -P 4000 -h 127.0.0.1 --filetype sql -t 8 -o /tmp/test -r 200000 -F256MiB`

-------------------------------------------------------------
The default export data format for dumpling is a sql file. You can also export data to a sql file by setting —filetype sql:

```
dumpling -u root -P 4000 -h 127.0.0.1 --filetype sql -t 8 -o /tmp/test -r 200000 -F256MiB
```

In the above command:
-h, -P, and -u stand for address, port, and user, respectively. If password authentication is required, you can pass the password to Dumpling using -p $YOUR*SECRET*PASSWORD.
-o is used to select the directory in which to store the exported file. The local file path or external storage URL format is supported.
-t is used to specify the number of threads to export. Increasing the number of threads increases dumpling concurrency and increases export speed, but it also increases database memory consumption, so it is not advisable to set it too large. Generally no more than 64.
-r is used to specify the maximum number of rows in a single file. When this parameter is specified, dumpling enables concurrent in-table export acceleration while reducing memory usage. When the upstream is TiDB and the version is v3.0 or later, the parameter greater than 0 indicates that the TiDB region information is used to divide the concurrency in the table, and the specific value will no longer be valid.
The -F option is used to specify the maximum size of a single file, in MiB, and accepts input like 5 GiB or 8 KB. If you want to use TiDB Lightning to load the file into your TiDB instance, it is recommended to keep the value of the -F option at 256 MiB or below.

Note: The -r and -F parameters are highly recommended if the size of the exported single table exceeds 10 GB.
