# Using TiDB Lightning - Parallel Importing

+ Parallel import only supports empty tables

Parallel import only supports empty tables that initialize TiDB, and does not support importing data to data tables that are already written by services. Otherwise, data inconsistency may occur.
Parallel imports are generally used in the Physical Import Mode mode.
When using multiple TiDB Lightning to import to the same target, mixing different import modes is prohibited. For example, you cannot use both Physical Import Mode and Logical Import Mode to import the same TiDB cluster at the same time.
