# Using BR - Full Library Backup

__*Using BR*__
__*BR full library backup*__

```
br backup full \
    --pd "${PDIP}:2379" \
    --backupts '2022-01-30 07:42:23' \
    --storage "s3://backup-data/2022-01-30/" \
    --ratelimit 128 \
    --log-file backupfull.log
```
-------------------------------------------------------------
TiDB cluster snapshot data contains only the most recent data of the cluster at a certain physical point in time that satisfies transaction consistency. Use br backup full to back up the latest TiDB snapshot data or a specified point in time. Execute br backup full —help to get help using this command.

Use case: Back up the cluster snapshot data at the time '2022-01-30 07:42:23 'to the 2022-01-30/ prefix directory in S3 under the name backup-data bucket.
br backup full\
    —pd "$ {PDIP} :2379"\
    —backupts '2022-01-30 07:42:23 '\
    —storage "s3://backup-data/2022-01-30/"\
    —ratelimit 128\
    —log-file backupfull.log
In the above command:
—backupts: The physical point in time corresponding to the snapshot. If the snapshot's data is GC'd, the br backup command will abort with an error; if you don't specify this parameter, BR will select the snapshot that corresponds to the time the backup started.
—ratelimit: The maximum speed at which each TiKV can perform a backup job (in MiB/s).
—log-file: The target file that BR log writes to.
A progress bar is displayed in the terminal during backup. The display effect is as follows. When the progress bar progresses to 100%, the backup is complete.
br backup full\
    —pd "$ {PDIP} :2379"\
    —storage "s3://backup-data/2022-01-30/"\
    —ratelimit 128\
    —log-file backupfull.log
Full Backup <—/... > 17.12%.
After the backup is complete, BR compares the checksum of the backup data with the results of the cluster admin checksum table to ensure the correctness of the backup data.
