# Use of BR - Single Library Recover

__*Using BR*__
__*BR single library recover*__

```
br restore db \
    --pd "${PDIP}:2379" \
    --db "test" \
    --ratelimit 128 \
    --storage "s3://backup-data/db-test/2022-01-30/" \
    --log-file restore_db.log
```
-------------------------------------------------------------
To recover one of the databases from the backup data to the cluster, use the br restore db command. Execute br restore db —help to get help using this command.

Use case: recover the data related to the test library in db-test/2022-01-30/ under a bucket named backup-data in S3 to the cluster.

br restore db\
    —pd "$ {PDIP} :2379"\
    —db "test"\
    —ratelimit 128\
    —storage "s3://backup-data/db-test/2022-01-30/"\
    —log-file restore_db.log

br restore db\
    —pd "$ {PDIP} :2379"\
    —db "test"\
    —ratelimit 128\
    —storage "s3://backup-data/db-test/2022-01-30/"\
    —log-file restore_db.log

The —db option in the above command specifies the name of the database to be recover. The remaining options have the same meaning as recover snapshot backup data.

Note:

When restoring backup data, the database name specified by the —db option must be the same as the database name specified by the —db option when performing the backup, otherwise the recover cannot be successful. Because the metafile backupmeta of the backed up data records the database name, you can only recover the data to a database with the same name. The recommended practice is to recover the backup file to a database with the same name on another cluster.
