# Using TiCDC - Creating Synchronization Tasks

__*Using TiCDC*__
__*TiCDC Create Synchronization Task*__

```
cdc cli changefeed create
--pd=http://10.0.10.25:2379
--sink-uri="mysql://root:123456@127.0.0.1:3306/"
--changefeed-id="simple-replication-task"
--sort-engine=“unified"
```
-------------------------------------------------------------
In TiCDC, a synchronization task is called a changefeed. We can create a changefeed with the following command, where create is the create task command, —pd= http://10.0.10.25:2379 represents a PD address of the upstream TiDB , —sink-uri="mysql: //root:123456 @127 .0.0. 1:3306/" indicates the downstream database. In the example, it is a MySQL database (IP: 127.0.0.1, Port: 3306), —changefeed-id="simple- "Replication-task" indicates the ID of this task. Once the command is successfully executed, the task is started.

tiup cdc cli changefeed create —pd= http://10.0.10.25:2379 —sink-uri="mysql: //root:123456 @127 .0.0. 1:3306/" —changefeed-id= "simple- Replication-task"

Outputs:
Create changefeed downloaded!
ID: simple-replication-task
