# Introduction To Cluster Check

+ `cluster check`: Used to check if the server hardware and software environment of a specified cluster meets the minimum operating conditions

```13
$ tiup cluster check <topology.yml | cluster-name> [flags]
```

------------------------------------------------------------

To simplify the steps of manual checks, TiUp Cluster provides a check command to check if the machine hardware and software environment of the specified cluster meet the normal operating conditions. In addition to the above checks, port conflict detection for deployment servers, and rapid disk performance pressure testing of servers are also included.

syntax
```
tiup cluster check <topology.yml | cluster-name> [flags]
```

If the cluster is not yet deployed, you need to pass the topology.yml configuration file used to deploy the cluster. Tiup-cluster connects to the corresponding machine according to the contents of the file to check. If the cluster is already deployed, you can use the name of the cluster <cluster-name>as the inspection object.

Note: If you are passing a cluster name, you need to use it with the —cluster option.
