# Migration Strategy

We suggest exporting the full data to `S3` first, then importing it into `TiDB Cloud`, and using `TiDB Data Migration (DM)` for replicating the subsequent incremental data. Additionally, `TiDB Data Migration (DM)` supports data import and replication based on shards and database splitting. 
Finally, we need to perform data verification for the migration result.
