# `TiKV` `KEY-VALUE` Entries and `TiKV` Region

As mentioned in "Introduction to TiDB" course, in TiDB, key-value pairs are replicated three times and are organized in TiKV Regions by default.

And, the `TiKV` Region is maintained by `Multi-Raft` replication group to replicated to `TiKV` server nodes with single Leader and multiple Follower replicas. The entire `TiKV` cluster functions as a unified Map of `TiKV` Regions.

The slide depicts a configuration of 3 `TiKV` Region replicas (1 Leader and 2 Followers).
