# `HashJoin` Operator - Cont'd

In the slide, each row of the `salaries` table, the driven table, is scanned. The `emp_no` column from the `salaries` table is used to match rows with the `employees` table in the cache using the hash function. This process retrieves the corresponding rows from the `employees` table that match the `emp_no` column. In practice, the `HashJoin` operation has been further optimized. For more details, please refer to the following slide.
