# Tep Operator
Tep Operator creates a tep cluster from bare metal

## Requirements
* Docker >= 17.03
* Docker Compose >= 1.6.0
* Kubectl >=v1.10.3

## Quick start
```bash
$ git clone https://github.com/pingcap/tidb-enterprise.git
$ cd tidb-enterprise/installer/tep-operator/manifests/local-test
## Start a pseudo k8s cluster
$ docker-compose up -d
## create TepCluster CRD object
$ kubectl apply -f ../crd.yaml
## start tep operator
$ OS_TYPE=darwin ./start.sh # for macOS, linux user can run it directly
## prepare deploy tep cluster, modify tep-cluster.yaml reasonably, make sure .spec.launch is Prepare
$ kubectl apply -f tep-cluster.yaml
## after the preparation phase is completed, change .spec.launch from Prepare to Install
$ kubectl apply -f tep-cluster.yaml
```
