This is the single source repo for TiDB GTM workflow logic (`skills/`) and TiDB GTM knowledge baseline (`brain/`).

## Skills vs brain

### `skills/` — how to work

- **What:** 19 `SKILL.md` workflows (ICP -> competitive -> GTM brief -> messaging -> launch -> field -> content + review gates).
- **Why trust it:** Workflow patterns adapted from proven open-source GTM/agent frameworks, then tailored for TiDB usage.
- **When to use:** planning and producing external GTM artifacts, from strategy to distribution.
- **How to use:** start at `find-skill`, then load only the brain files suggested by each skill.

### `brain/` — what we align to

- **What:** markdown reference files for product, ICP, competitors, messaging snapshot, and benchmark standards.
- **How to think about it:** org baseline that evolves on release/messaging/competitive cadence.
- **Boundary:** does not replace legal review, account-specific evidence, or signed local facts.
- **How to use:** load scoped files as context, not the entire brain by default.

## Why this system is designed this way

- **Separation of concerns:** keep workflow logic stable in `skills/`, keep fast-changing GTM facts in `brain/`.
- **Controlled quality:** stage gates (`strategy`, `messaging`, `content`) reduce overclaim risk before publishing.
- **Traceable updates:** brain files have explicit owners and update triggers to avoid stale messaging.
- **Reusable operations:** one repo and unified paths (`@skills/...`, `@brain/...`) reduce onboarding friction.

## Typical use paths

- **PMM launch cycle:** `find-skill` -> `tidb-product-narrative` -> `tidb-messaging-platform` -> `tidb-messaging-review` -> `tidb-launch-brief`.
- **Field campaign:** `find-skill` -> `tidb-field-brief` + `brain/playbooks/messaging.md`.
- **Technical content:** `find-skill` -> `tidb-tech-story` -> `tidb-channel-copy` -> `tidb-content-review`.

## Maintenance quick rules

- Pull updates before major work: `git pull`.
- Use `[TBD]` instead of inventing unsupported metrics.
- For messaging baseline changes, update `brain/playbooks/messaging.md` only after messaging review pass.

## Migration note

This repo consolidates previous repositories `0xF4ng/tidb-gtm-skills` and `0xF4ng/tidb-gtm-brain` into one private repo.  
Their commit histories are preserved under `skills/` and `brain/`.
