## Conclusion

In this lab, we discuss the application best practice when TiDB Server is scaled in. When connected to TiDB via a network load balancer, the application needs to include retry logic to maintain the application zero downtime. When connected to TiDB via TiProxy, the application does not need to worry about the retry logic, since the TiProxy has the session migration capability.
