## Overview

In this workshop, we will explore some key new features introduced in TiDB 8.x. Our focus will center on six pivotal modules: TiProxy, Foreign Keys, Global Unique Indexes for Partitioned Tables, Monitoring Indexes Usage Statistics, Vector Search, and the TiKV MVCC in-memory engine. ### Prerequisites

+ A baseline understanding of SQL and database management.
+ Prior experience with MySQL or similar relational databases and any distributed NoSQL databases will be beneficial.
+ Familiarity with TiDB's [core components](https://docs.pingcap.com/tidb/stable/tidb-architecture/) and [MVCC](https://docs.pingcap.com/tidb/stable/tidb-storage/#mvcc).
+ Familiarity with [TiUP](https://docs.pingcap.com/tidb/stable/tiup-documentation-guide/) utility.
