# Limitations and Pitfalls
+ Security
  + `TiKV` Clients must have direct access to all `PD` and `TiKV` nodes
  + `TLS` can be enabled for security
+ Use `TiDB` and `KV` together
  + `TiDB`, `TxnKV & RawKV API` can be used on the same cluster ONLY when `API v2` is used

+ Garbage Collection (GC)
  + `GC` of `TxnKV & RawKV` (with `API v2`) must be driven by `TiDB`, or invoke `GC` interface of `client-go` periodically
